well we know for sure they are changing to mpeg 4 for dn and you will need a mpeg 4 receiver and we do know anycast is coming when who knows, ya its not a major cost but it is a cost and you only need one transaction to be caught plain and simple.hold on peeps were in for a ride lol.

What box will work for iks bev.. I have sonic view 360 and it was working with DN. now dish network has a problem. will Bev work on my sonic view.. I am not ready to invest in iptv yet. need to research on that.. but if I can still use my sonic view with Bev, I will subscribe to bev.. please explain to me in layman term...

If you are with in the foot print then you should be able to pickup 91W with the sv...still a lot of sd channels there...82W is another matter...very little sd there so sv wouldn't work very well for that bird...footprint for 91W below. Need to check out lyngsat for a channel line up...big difference between bev and dish channel wise. There was a time I could scan in beverly but since they moved the footprint it's a no go for me now...it's a shame.

I have been a sub with Dish since 1997 Rom2 and americas top 20 package with a dish 300 antenna and a 2x4 switch, the first IRD's I started with were a JVC model 1000d which was mounted on top of a VCR ( very first pvr) and 2- model 3000's there was 1 card update to Rom3 then nothing until 2004 when dish came in and updated me to a super dish 105 and a new 322 and 1 501 pvr.There was another card update in 2008 to the purple g3. This past January I was upgraded again where my 501 was swapped to a 522, so now I have a 322 and a 522 . If charlie is supposed to start his new anycast command encryption this spring he has some good faith with the old dual tuner IRD's. Oh yeah my sub is still not an HD account, the only HD dish I have is the 129 western arc which i installed my self for my jynxbox which is working outstanding thanks to all your help here

so continue to enjoy using them when sd goes mpeg4

As does all financial institutions. I think PP got the bad rec. most likely because NFPS would like folks to buy from them instead of resellers and PP cancelled out nfps. Even though nfps still sells to resellers.

I am trying to understand why we would be unable to Get Dish with IKS after an MPEG 4 Change.Our HD FTA Boxes can handle MPEG 4.

If Dish dies off sometime soon BEV will surely be alive for a long time since there is no word of changing there old,2700,3100 and 4100 boxes especially now that they are putting there efforts into Fibe and seem to neglect their Satellite network.

well for starters you would have to edit every SD transponder frequency, after that there is nothing to say you can't until they go to the new way of delivering the control words. As for BEV just because they never said anything doesn't mean they are not planning on it. They could complet the swap in 3 months easily. DN has 10X the subscribers and plan on doing it in 6 months.
