    Default Help Please

I have 2 Receivers, both with different (net gear/actiontec) powerline config, when I turn on 1 receiver it connects to the router (rogers 4G) with no prob, as soon as I turn on the other receiver it freezes the picture on the other (in a different room), I have tried 1 powerline and used the receivers wirless connection and it works the same with even more freeze up on the other receiver. It,s like it dosent want to have both receivers working off the router at the same time. Both receivers have 2 different accounts at the same ip providers
If I run 1 receiver and turn on the TV's wireless Netflix, they both connect with no issues
Any suggestions, is it at my providers end?

any suggestions to try would be appreciated

    Cheers

Are you trying to run 2 receivers with the same PS code, check to see that you didn't put the same code in 2 receivers.

I didn't want you to think I was spending the money on myself. That's why I posted a reply explaining where the SatFix Bux went.

Here's a little token of my gratitude for your generous donation. Please accept it in the spirit that its meant...

He said 2 different accounts. I'm thinking the 1 box is trying to connect on the same slot on his router as the other box. Maybe dedicating the one box to a specific ip and the other as well will rectify the issue. It definitely sounds like a networking issue.

Yes I know he said 2 accounts, I just wanted him to check to see that he didn't load the same account on 2 receivers before we
go into the router and how to make the jynx log to another port.

Try setting one box up via hardwire to the router and use the powerline for the other. If it works you know that the powerline adapters are causing the conflict!

I thought of running a line but if it worked there is no way of hiding it due to the floor being concrete and all ceilings finished,
would this still be the case when I tried 1 unit with powerline and the other wireless (without powerline) and had the same issues?

this is stumping me, so any input is appreciated

    thx much

You need to run a Lan line on your floor as a temporary thing to test. If it works then you will have to do what I suggested and dedicate ports for each unit.

Turn on 1 box, get it working, on the other box remove the wifi dongle then turn it on, go to /menu/tools/wifi manager/ turn off wifi,
now exit out and go to /network local setting/ now turn off /DHCP/ now set all fields to all 000000, then apply, now do a hard boot.
Now plug in your wifi dongle and turn it back on, now the receiver will look for a new wifi port.

One question, what switch are you using for these receivers, it could be a connection problem not an internet issue. Are you getting network readings on both?

Your infrastructure on top to get signal from the satellites. In other to mix more than one sat you need a switch. Examp, dp33 or 44 etc.
