SNR is signal to noise ratio. SNR is not the same thing as signal strength. We in NA have boxes that usually tell us "Q" (quality) instead of SNR. SNR is not expressed as a percent, it is expressed as decibels. A reading of 65% might be a Q reading, or it might be an "S" (signal strength) reading.

One other thing he needs to be careful of is the fact that he is very close to the Equator, if the satellite he is trying to recive is due South of his location or very close to it, (or Due North) the dish will be almost pointing straight up, this can cause problems.

It will be extremely hard to set the elevation.

Here is some info for locating a "C" band dish in Georgetown.

What to do with this link is to find your location on the map by zooming in, then click on it, this will give you an estimated dish size for that satellite at your location.

I would get a mesh dish, this will not fillup with water, and will be easier to clean, you use a high pressure hose and spray the junk out.

Hi Guys, I got the universal LNB but I don't see a difference, when the LNB is off I get the same results.
SNR 63%, AGC 89% - 93%, its like its not detecting the LNB.
I got X2- Full HD KU Twin Universal LNB.

I don't understand what you mean by above. Do you mean that the power to the LNB is off? The dish is not pointed at a satellite? The LNB is disconnected?
Maybe the LNB cable is not in the correct connection. Maybe the dish is not pointed correctly. Just too hard to tell what might be the issue given what you have posted.

When the LNB is unplug from the dreambox it gives SNR 63%, AGC 89% - 93%, like its not detecting the LNB.
Not sure what am missing.
