Default No Signal on lots of channel

    Hi
My setup is 119,118,110 and 129. I having issue with no-signal on at least 40% of the channel. The signal strength is good and in scan is detects the channel but when I try to watch it doesn't show any strength and quality in the channel info. Not sure what is the issue and how could I trouble shoot it.

You didn't mention whether your setup worked to your satisfaction before or is this a new setup that isn't dialed in? Size of dish, type of l n b, coax length and is it rg6, type of switch, is the setup grounded and then of course antenna settings. Give us a little more info and I'm sure someone will have some great suggestions that will help.

Its a new setup and I am new to this hobby. I have two dishes one elliptical 24x18 inches with 2 birds 118/119 and 110. Second is bev standard dish with 129. The cable is rg6 and length is from dish to the distribution panel is 20 25 ft. I am using standard diseqc switch 4 in 1 out.

i have the same problem but for me is because i live in a fringe area. The module recognize the tps on the channel scan menu but when you watch it you have "no signal". You need to move your dishes to get 2 or 3 extra points on those tps.

Sufi, you may need a slightly larger dish for 118, it's one half the power of 119, you would have to check the link below to see what size dish you would need.

    Code:
    http://www.satbeams.com/footprints?norad=31102
And if your using Dish (or BEV) DP or DPP type LNB's then the RG-6 coax needs to be rated to 2.5 or 3 GHz or you will/could be missing about half your transponders.

Hellier, you need to go to the same link, and check to see what size dish you may need at your location.

All you guys need to do is zoom into your location and click on it, this will give you the estimated dish size needed for that satellite, the signals are not the same levels all over.

I am very doubtful the dish size you are using is adequate for 118. Terry left you a link to check for dish size for your area. This is a good box and properly setup will give more than adequate satisfaction. In all cases with all receivers the bigger the dish the better and a bonus of a larger is that it almost eliminates rain fade. I use a t90 for satellites in central ontario and wit the same box and it's perfect. Take your time as the dial in of your setup is part of the enjoyment of this so called hobby. Mind you good weather adds to the enjoyment. good luck

You would get more help here if you posted the antenna settings you are using. If you are using the Universal setting for any of your lnbs that would be very wrong and cause the problem you are having

For those having issues with the receiver. I discovered that the power supply that comes with it is not powerful enough for long cable runs and switching functions.
I've upgraded to a 15V 2A power supply and now it works perfect.!
