Lindsay Lohan is still racing to finish her community service by Wednesday (28.01.15) or risk jail.
The 28-year-old star, who is on probation for a reckless driving offence in 2012, is planning to go to the Community Service Volunteers center in London today (26.01.15) and tomorrow (27.01.15) in a bid to complete the 30 days she has to amass by Wednesday.
According to gossip website TMZ, the flame-haired star is confident she will be able to get the stint done ahead of a court hearing on Wednesday, but she is due to face a new judge and it is thought the prosecutor may recommend prison time if she falls short of her community service hours.
Just last week it was reported that Lindsay wasn’t “even close” to finishing her sentence.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress was initially ordered to complete 30 days service by November 6 but was given a new date after only finishing half of the stretch.
She is said to have faced some troubles over the festive period as the London-based community service center was closed for two weeks, but despite this, she went on holiday to Bora Bora where she contracted Chikungunya, a debilitating, untreatable virus caused by mosquito bites, and ended up in hospital.
Should Lindsay fail to complete her court-ordered punishment then it wouldn’t be the first time as she failed to finish alcohol education programs in both 2009 and 2010.
What’s more, she had her probation revoked in 2010 when cocaine was found in her system and blamed a stolen passport on missing a court hearing in the same year because when was left stranded in Cannes, France.
