I previously posted this issue and had lots of helpful replies, most of which suggested replace the DP34. Finally did this with a new one and issue persists:
Have Limey HD Air connected to Receiver Port 2 & Sonicview 360P connected to port 1. Dish 1 with Legacy DP LNB connected to dish port 1 and Dish 2 (129) with Legacy DP LNB connected to port 2.
All appears to work fine for a while and then suddenly S & Q on both receivers and both dishes drops to 20%. Normally running at around 70 to 80% on both. Limey stops working. However SV360 still works with this low signal!
Only way to correct the issue is to switch off the Limey for about 10 minutes and then power back up - then all ok for a couple of hours/days, then same thing happens - signal/quality drops on both receivers.
If I connect either dish to either receiver directly to the receivers with barrel connectors all is well and no failures. Had 119SD connected to SV360 and 129HD connected to Limey for over 3 months while I waited for the new switch and not a single issue with signal strength.
Before I got the Limey, I had an SV8000HD for over 4 years with same setup and never had an issue. Helpful peeps and my tests indicated that the DP34 may have gone bad (we have high temps here in the summer months).
Both receivers (Limey and SV360) are on all the time (I don't switch them off) and both have power to LNB set to ON, 22KHz set to OFF.
Any advise would be helpful - I am now beginning to suspect the Limey!
