an old euro forum site once had an interesting thread on homemade dishes.I looked that up again for ideas.
One was that spray insulation foam in a can that gets hard sprayed on a big inflated balloon to get the shape for making a spherical dish. The guy used a 3 foot balloon but for practical use it would have to be much larger,like a weather balloon size.

Good point. If Dish and Directv are secure, then people will migrate back to c-band buds just like in the old days!

This is not such a bad thing because there will be fewer hackers and less of a bother to the broadcasters, who may not be as aggressive with countermeasures.

But the best part of going back to c-band is the superior picture quality!

Yes!

I have managed to brute-force some of the keys for cband powervu.

All this gibberish means to me is they don't know what they are talking about and have done nothing.
