    Default DPPlus with Power Inserter?

I have a long run of coax 120'.Running Nova and Phonix Infusions.Signal has been a problem forever so I got a Dish VideoPath Power inserter.Power supply is 24vDC 1000mA.When I run it in line with Nova It wont switch from 110.Stuck on 110.This system runs 91/110/119.Any ideas would be great.Even hooked back up a SG motor to soak up some power in case it was too much but no luck.

A little more info would help.

You are looking at 3 satellites, what type(s) of LNB's are you using?

A single DPPlus twin looking at 110/119 with a DP single looking at 91?

Or 3 DPP singles run into a switch?

If it's the DPPlus twin, then run the power inserter into the #1 receiver port on it's own coax, then run the receiver off the #2 receiver port.

Some recivers do not like or work well with the DP power inserter in-line with them, and don't put a motor in-line with it, you may burn up the motor.

Also what type of coax did you use?

It has to be rated to 2.5 or 3 GHz. (marked on coax)

OK, then run the power inserter out to the LNB's #1 receiver port on it's own coax, this will get the power injector out of the circuit, the receiver should work fine on the #2 receiver port on the LNB.

Like I said, some receivers do not like the DC power injector in-line with the LNB.

Did"nt change the signal doing this???Funny thu I have a old ViewSat in the loop. The LNB comes in to the viewsat and out thru the loop into the Funtional NOVA and the signal improves.Maybe running the Inserter in that loop might work?Only have today off and really dont want any smoke and spark shows today.

As I said, the DC power inserter should run up to the LNB on it's own coax, but it looks like you need to run more then one receiver, the loop output is OK but it would work a whole lot better if each receiver had it's own connection to the LNB's.

For that to work a DPP44 switch would be needed, the DPP twin would use LNB ports #1 and #2 (first "F" connector on the left is #1 looking at the LNB's with the eye pointing at you) and the third LNB for 91 would use the #3 LNB port on the switch, then the DPP44 switch will power all 3 LNB's and you can run 3 receivers. (the #1 receiver port on the DPP44 switch will have to be for the DC power inserter)

This is the best setup for what you want to do.

At the end of the day I have the Dp44 bought with the inserter but too much hassell to switch all around.I have 2 recievers #1 Nova #2 Phonix one pole running 2 dish with a DDplus and a secound lnd Dish. The 3rd dish is Bev taged in on the Dish pro Lnb.To just add the inserter as stated above wont work or just doesn't make a difference without changing everything all over.Soooooo if you think that adding the above Power inserter on a system similar too this will give you a little jack to your sig then no as far as I know.
Thanx T I have read alot of your posts and thanx.Just trying too save another's time. Its all about the test I guess.
