Ok some weird **** going on, I entered the DNS 208.67.222.222 still nothing, some I dug out my old ****ty dlink router and plugged it and I got snow on the noi screen, followed by the scrolling numbers..I went up to check my tv and still nothing, when I returned to the computer the channel number was switching from green to red.while the numbers were still counting down?ive been running noi for 3 years now and haven't had any problems like this....?any ideas why it would connect then drop off?thanx

    On my computer...
    Connection-specific DNS suffix
    IP address...123.108.109.23
    Subnet mask...255.0.0.0
    IP address ...123.108.108.138
    Subnet mask...255.0.0.0
    IP address...192.168.0.105
    Subnet mast...255.255.255.0
    Default gateway..192.168.0.1
On my nfhd...after the dhcp and static switch(I only changed the gateway to match my ip)
    Nfhd settings.
    IP address...192.168.001.103
    Subnet mast...255.255.255.0
    Gateway...192.168.0.105
    DNS...024.226.001.093

I just re-read and IP is not 192.168.1.103 it should be 192.168.0.103
Also are you running a HD box or Nova, if so add 210.51.47.147 255.0.0.0
Also you must shut off box and re-start for any new setting to work!

Glatt is right I missed that you said the IP for the computer is 192.168.0.105 and the receiver is 192.168.001.103. One of them is wrong. The router assigns the IPs and will not give you both those 2 numbers.

Hey Guys, all is good had a pile of help from Glatt(this guy is a genius) it turns out my computer would not assign a router ip to my new router, and after Glatt walked me through the automatically obtain ip, it dropped my old ip and assigned a new one. Then just a matter of plugging in a few numbers on the PC and on the nfhd.works like a charm.Glatt makes it pretty simple,(thanks a ton). Thanks to all who helped me out, it's really a great bunch of guys here spending their time for others benefit. Thanks
