Default Does anyone know a simple way to revive my Nfusion HD? Router & Goo3.

I had my Nfusion up & running as well as many boxes in this hobby last year. Goo3 script, xx client, with a Linksys WRTS4G 1.1 router.

Heard good things about Jynxbox, bought one for my room so my Nfusion gathered dust for about 6 months. Now however I have the Nfusion set up in the house living room & though it worked as well as it used to for a while after I set it back up, lately it's been inconsistent enough to be annoying & I'm not talking about the usual ecm's. I'm wondering if there's a simple way to revive it so we could watch a complete show or two.

There's nothing exotic about the setup or settings. DN & Bev. I use dsl cable & disable the Wan. THe receivers gateway is the ip of the modem. The ip of the nfusion has been set to 192.168.015.126 for a long time, I forget where I got that from, I think I added 30 to something. I've tried other ip's. I've checked the router settings & rechecked the start up script. I've done the usual rebooting.

Well as of now it isn't working at all, I guess I could leave it on for half an hour & see if there's any improvement. I tried your 'switch to dhcp', didn't seem to work. It's been like this all summer, some days I'll come in, turn it on & it's working, both bev & dn sometimes. But after a half hour or so the channels drop. I'll think maybe the ecm's are increasing- but most days it's like today.

Part of it is, I'm a bit spoiled with the Jynxbox but even it's down sometimes- but the normal rate of down that I have come to expect in this hobby.

It appears to me that you are having internet problems. When your NFusion stops working are you able to load pages on your computer. Run a speedtest on your computer when the NFusion is working and when it is not and post results here. Another problem I have seen with DSL is filters are needed on all phone lines. Do you have all the filters installed?

No, my pc works fine 24/7. I do have a voip phone with it's separate router, I just tried disconnecting that router but that made no difference. No filters present- if that were the case I'd think my Jynxbox wouldn't work either- & my Nfusion & I-Link would never have worked.

On Speedtest.net, ping 36 ms download 71.67 mbps upload 5.17 mbps.

I think all nfusion HD's freeze up using NOI or Lynksys , the solution is to

turn everything off. First power up router so it connects to your server.

Then power on receiver. If it freezes during viewing do this.

go into > network settings and just hit OK a few times to re-establish connectivity to router.

Just be sure not to change anything when in network settings just hit ok several times.

That didn't work. When you hit OK, was it in DHCP or Static?

yes & the gateway is the ip of the router it's connected to.

I used to use Noi, thought this would be better but maybe not.

Rivernan, or anyone in the know, how did you determine the IP in your nfusion settings? I used to know... I've been just keeping it at the address it was at when it last worked okay- 192.168.015.126

I set the NFusion to DHCP and let it populate the settings. When it shows an IP address then I switch it to static and change the Gateway to the router or computer ip as the case may be

I tried all that & when it didn't work I also reinstalled the s/w (file 25) & rebooted everything & manually inputed a 000 ip but the Nfusion can't seem to lose the 192.168.126 ip address. Mine is a WRT 54G Linksys router. Maybe I'm missing something obvious.

thanks but I mean on the NFusion box, not the computer or router.

So I hooked my pc up to the router & can't get on the net with it, the server's not talking. Maybe it's a router setting but when I check in them, everything seems fine.

I was gonna start another thread but I remembered I had posted this one. I did a 30 30 30 reboot & checked everything again & played with it for about an hour. I think unless some miracle worker comes to my rescue, I'll put the NF & the Lynksis-Goo router up for sale on Kijiji & maybe someone else can kill time with it.
