Is anyone aware of a place that sales receiver parts, used or new, for fta recievers?

In general FTA boxes should be thought of as "not repairable". Sure you can swap out electrolytic capacitors in the power supply or a rectifying diode, but most the parts are surface mount, not well marked, and hard to get a hold off if you can figure out what they are. And the boxes are relatively cheap--hard to justify spending any large amount of time figuring out what is wrong and tracking down the parts needed. For the parts that you can work on, any electronics supply place will have what you need--even Radio Shack has been a place to look in the past, but on-line supply places are easy to come by--Jameco, AllElectronics, Mouser. Or hobby places like Sparkfun.
