    Default HD Receiver Ranking

Based on your own personal choice, compare and rank all of the major HD boxes. (jynxbox, linkbox, inlink, etc). In advance--thanks for your input.

Um...do you really think folks buy so many boxes that they can do a qualitative compare of all brands? I don't. You buy a box and use it regardless of how well or badly it works.

Most peeps have more than one box, or they don't like they have, sell it, and run through several before they find one they are happy and content with.

Sonicview 8000 - imho the best box ever made
    Viewsat 9000
    nFusion HD

    current boxes:
Linkbox hd local - little fonky menu but it works
V2 Jynxbox (No V4 or V5 and I have had both)
Pinwheel - strange box but works fine

Dreamlink T5 is probably safest bet but I have never used one because the others off wifi pretty much built in

As a quality hfhd & sv8k are the same, but nfhd has an edge over sv8k due to internet build in connection witch eliminates
the mess with the dongle. i had both and settled for nfhd. gui looks better for me on nfhd.

what ones have you tried on my list ? the only reason I got the pinwheel was because chris was out of the dreamlinks at the time I went and got it and it was the new box and had all this great talk so I figured I may have to buy one before they are all sold out boy was I wron with that one. the jynxbox hasn't given me any problems really its in my daughters room and i'm sure only stays on 2 channels anyway lol. and the sonicview well if you owned one you'd know why everybody loves it.

Should go to the sv forum and do a little reading. Some of the older boxes were good boxes but this is not a box you put in your p$ information, scan and watch tv. Plus the fact buying an older used box you have a 50 50 chance it is DOA.

No one mentioned the captain HD or the Kbox HD??? LOL
Seriously though from what i saw in operation the SV 8000 Viewsat 9000 and Dreamlinks were the nicest units

Dreamlink HD - Fast, reliable, great pic
Sonicview 8000 - with the exception of the cumbersome CW 3000, the first fta hd to do mpeg 4; the grand daddy
Nfusion HD - Solid strong performer, great pic quality
