Hello gang, friend got this receiver brought it so I can do the settings and took the opportunity and took a few photos. The power supply is separated from the Main Board was the first thing I notice different anything else is basically the same. TurboPirate

I had never seen the mother board in a v4, now that I have it looks just like my v6.
Now you have got me wanting one to test and see if the Allchunk file from the v6 will work on the v4,LOL.

Good idea but the V4+ says it has 450Miliamps for LNB control not like the V6 with its 650miliamps. TurboPirate

Which means v3 will work also but no v6 files mang

Some of us have the files because we have the V6 receiver and have a backup copy of the Allchunk file, firmware file & user DB.

Update, I remember the specs of this receiver said the receiver and the JB200 tuner were updated and both are +, got curious and took the tuner out found a few thingys different, here photos of what I found compared to a regular JB200. TP

so version 6 bin will not work on v4 because of milliamp difference??

I am not sure if that is why the V6 file can't be used on the V4+ buy what I do know about the 650 mili amps is that the V6 can handle the LNBs DP and DPP without the need of a power inserter and thanks to that the receiver doesn't over heat like the previous JB with 450 mili amps LNB control.........,....I have a Clone of the JB V3 is called AZlink V3 converted with a file to V4 changed the module for a DVB-S2 connected to 12 SATs with cascaded DiSEqs and have no issues, and the AZlink is 450 mili amps of LNB control so the 650 mili amps of the V5+ and V6 is just for LNBs known that draw to many juice to work properly but let the experts say what they know for fact. Well it has 650mA of LNB power output for one thing, it don't overheat, you don't need to update the firmware, it works right out of the box.

V6 on my end don't have enough power to work on my Dish Network HD antena,I have to connect second box to lnb in order to work,I have V4 to, and V4 works by self no other box connected same antena, cable,and setting.
