Default Clock Off by 6 mins.

    Guys,

My box clock is off by 6 mins. I don't know what happened though.

I factory reset it and it is the same but my other box is OK I was wondering why though.

I am here in the West Coast so I turn ON the summer mode on time setting on the good box.

The good box is -8:00 to make it PST but the off one is +11:30 setting.

Has anybody encounter this? Both of them have the same bin.

    Thanks

don't know about this issue however you can change to the next time zone(MTN) & turn summertime(DST) off & see if it realigns

How does time zone selected, affect minutes? If the clocks are off by 6 minutes it doesnt make sense because the actual time to the minute/second is obtained from the satellites. The time zone adjustment only affects whole hours or in some cases half hours. Unless the OP meant hours instead of mins., this is very strange verging on impossible unless one of the boxes is picking up another satellite a few light minutes away!

I was wondering why too! But my other is OK though. I was thinking downloading the factory file, like starting all over again. Like it

Time is immaterial, some can detect time to the second, others are off by hours, I detect time in the eon's, try to count 1 hour with out looking at a clock, you will be late for dinner......Or the movies......the time it takes the light from the Sun to reach us is 8 minuets , it that time I can be in several time zones at once.......Don't listen to me as I have had too much to drink.....and admit to it.

I finally fixed it today, I double factory reset it and it came back to normal.

I switched my Dad's box so I can have more time to play with it.

Thank you Guys for the swift response!
