    Default Adding 5th Satellite.

    I currently have 129-119-110-91 hooked up and working with 4 port diseq switch.
    Was wondering how I can add 82 to this receiver as there is only room for 4 that I see? I already have the dish aimed but not sure if I can hook up another diseq or SW-21 to this receiver. Never had more than 3 sats before I got the HD receiver.
    Thanks

    Put 91 and 82 on a sw21 switch.

    There is no sw21 option in the menu anywhere....Just port 1-4. Is there something Im missing or maybe something needed to be addressed on the next update?

    Do you have a 22 KHz on and off option??

    If so then a 22 KHz switch may be used, but this all depends on the types of LNB's in your system, some of the Dish 1000 LNB's and a DP twin will work with the 22 KHz switch option, some won't.

    One way it has been done is to use all DP single LNB's and a 8x1 Diseqc switch, or 5 standard circular LNB's and a Diseqc 8x1 switch.

    If you have the 22 KHz on/off selection then the switching would be.

    110W= Diseqc port #2, 22 KHz OFF.
    119W= Diseqc port #1, 22 KHz OFF.
    129W= Diseqc port #3, 22 KHz OFF.
    82W (or 91W)= Diseqc port #1, 22 KHz ON.
    91W (or 82W)= Diseqc port #2, 22 KHz ON.

    All this depends on if all the LNB's are the same type and models.

    Ok...Well all my lnbs are the same....I have one dish with 3 lnbs (110/119/129) and another dish with 2 (82 and 91)
    Right now I have the diseq with the following.
    port 1 91
    port 2 110
    port 3 119
    port 4 129

    I have the regular 4 port diseq switch but the receiver does have the 22khz option in the menu but do I need a different type of switch...using chieta right now.

    You would need a second Diseqc 4x1 switch for the 82/91 side, then the 22 KHz switch will go between the two systems.

    Setup the switching as I posted above, and you should be set.

    It would look something like this.

    Be sure to ground the two systems to one main ground point.

    And to anyone thinking about this, but needs to use it for 2 receivers, doubling up the system above has had problems, the solution is that EMP makes an 8x2 Diseqc 2.0 switch, however ALL LNB's need to be DP singles with 2 outputs, or standard circular LNB's with 2 outputs.

    The easy way is to connect an Sw21 switch to port 1, then change Legasy Sw to Sw21-1 and 91. Then connect 82 to Sw21-2

    Thanks for the replies....Will get back when I get it going....
    Would be easier to use the sw-21 but don't think the nano hd has that in the set-up yet. Will search ebay for the 22khz switch.

    Terryl....
    Not sure if that will work with the NanoHD as I wont be able to set up the sats that way. NanoHD will only allow 1 sat per port with the 22khz on or off......

    Well then you may have to get a Diseqc 1.1 or 2.0 8x1 switch, your receiver should be able to use that.

    Actually I don't think so at the moment.....Unless someone already has this receiver set up with 5 or more sats, may have to wait for a new file with some installation menu changes on the next file if and when it comes out.

    In your satellite setup menu do you have a Diseqc 1.1 switch selection? (might be below the 1.0 selection)

    If you do then your setup for the 8x1 switch.

    Maybe SW21 support wil be available in the "next week" release. Oh, but I guess we won't really know unless the priveleged boffins let us know.....
