Question Jynxbox Ultra Hd no power

Recently, my jynxbox ultra hd v2 lost power and does not turn on now. I opened it up to take a look at the capacitors inside the receiver but couldn't detect anything unusual. Does anyone know what can be done to fix this, and bring back power to the receiver?

It could be a bad switch, you can bypass it with a jumper wire.

Do you think it could also have something to do with the jb200 gone bad. I will see if I can post pictures of the inside for a better understanding, as soon as I can

Remove the jb200 and give it a try. If it powers up you know you have found your problem.

I didn't want you to think I was spending the money on myself. That's why I posted a reply explaining where the SatFix Bux went.

Here's a little token of my gratitude for your generous donation. Please accept it in the spirit that its meant...

Unless your JB200 is shorting out the entire board I can't see it but to eliminate that source turn box off via back switch then unplug the unit from wall. Next disconnect your sat cable to the box. Open the unit and pull the JB200 out. Let box sit a good hr. Leave the JB200 out and plug unit back into the wall and wait 5 mins. Turn unit on via back switch. If you have power then there is an issue with module and board. Try the same procedure putting the module back in. If no go then repeat the steps again but using a new known working JB200. If still no go then unit needs attention.
If you purchased the unit from an authorised dealer contact them.

So many variables with these units...could be as simple as a shorted sat cable, but most likely is the JB-200 module causing this. Best bet make sure disconnect power from electrical source before opening up or removing anything, then reconnect 1 item at a time with power off if you are getting results. We have all lost 1 or 2 in the past.

If it's the fuse I can try to purchase one that is 250v-2AM online but if it's the switch, where can I find a replacement switch for the receiver?

    Your local sat shop.
It's the little do hickey thing your cables from your lnb's go into. lol
You can also test if your switch is bad by simply removing it and running a straight feed from your dish (one of the lnb's) to the receiver but I would explore the JB200 test first.

Lol, I think you're getting it confused with the module. The switch, like it is stated, is whats on the back of every fta receiver. Are you sure I can buy a replacement switch at a local store which sells satellite receivers?

Are you referring to the diseqc switch or the physical switch on the back of the receiver?

I was talking about the power on or off switch on the back of the receiver.

Before you try and replace the "ON-OFF" switch I would check it with a DVM set to ohms, UNPLUG it form the wall and anything else, then set the DVM to "OHMS" if the switch is OK (zero ohm reading) by touching one blade of the power plug and looking at where the wires go from the switch to the power supply board, then do the other blade it would be OK.

I would not recommend doing it with the AC power on, not unless you know what you are doing, and the DVM is set to measure AC voltage.

The same goes for looking for the fuse.

    Nope. Not confused.
    Try what was suggested earlier.
If it is the on/off switch then you need good soldering skills to replace it and should be able to find one easily.

Not going to bounce around waiting for other feedback. Either you try what was mentioned or you don't.

As far as I am concerned on this issue..
Take the unit and plug it in somewhere else. Eliminates the dead receptacle theory.
If still the same then I would do as I mentioned earlier.

Highly doubt it is switch, only 12vdc applied on both sides when switch is on, but only a practical knowledge of how to use an ohm meter will tell you if good or bad.
