    Question Box says "0"

Renewed. Got new port. Was having a lot of "no signal" coming and going. Turned the Nano premium off at the back and when I turned it back on it didn't do a boot just said "0". Unplugged it and left it for awhile and tried again. Nothing. Remote does nothing.

Any ideas? I'm hoping it'll just revive on its on in a few hours....

Completely unhook the receiver from everything and let it sit over night to totally power down, then re connect it a check if it boots, if still no-go you might have to re-load the factory file with a cable and PC.

No menu whatsover. Turned it off for the night - no go. Attempting to do it through the USB. Then will have to look around for a cord.

Mavrick how do I do this? I think mine is frozen right now. I factory reset it and it won't read the USB factory firmware and the new bin.

You are kind of limited to what you can do without a remote and menu to access, have a look at the link below:

I am pretty sure you will need a null cable.

When you say null cable, is a USB to serial cable the same thing? USB to RS232 same as well?

Had to refresh my memory but there is a hidden menu where if memory serves me right you can do a factory reset there as well that may help you out...guess it would be worth a try. To enter the hidden menu turn the receiver off via the back switch... while holding down the up button on the front of the receiver turn the back switch back on...once you see the menu pop up on the tv release the channel up button. Again it's been a while since I messed with my nanosat but I think there is a way to do a reset from that hidden menu.

untitled.png2.pnguntitled.png3.pngNo usb, have a peek at the pics it will give you a better idea of what you are dealing with. There are 2 common types with fta, null and straight, null crosses pins 2 and 3 over while straight is exactly what it states, straight from pin to opposite pin.

actually you can use the USB to serial cable adapter in conjunction with a null modem cable... I've done it using a Gigaware USB-A to serial cable(this comes with a driver CD that also needs to be used to make the connection)... most newer computers don't have the serial port needed so I found it very handy(I didn't have to set up my old slow Gateway)...

on a side note... I was also able to reconnect the ethernet after losing that port to power surge using a rocketfish USB 2.0 to ethernet adapter... sure beat the heck outta buying a new puter...

I am sorry Guys I did not state it clear, my remote is working but the problem is when I plug in my USB flash drive it will just freeze

my box. I can factory reset it via remote but when the USB flash drive is inserted it will do nothing and the display is "0."

There is no file on the drive, the box see's nothing like it's blank.

    Thank you Guys!
