Three arrests in Welland drug bust

WELLAND -Three arrests were made during a Welland drug bust Thursday.
In early January, members of the Niagara Regional Police central region street crime unit began receiving information about a male selling drugs from his residence and various establishments throughout Welland.
On Thursday, police executed a search warrant at a Niagara St. apartment and seized more than $1,160 in cocaine, $625 in prescription pills, $680 in marijuana and $1,860 in cash.
Rocco Munno, 52, Tonya Morrow, 36, and Ronald Bereti, 51, all of Welland, are each charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Munno was held in custody pending a bail hearing to be held Friday.
Morrow and Bereti were released on a promise to appear with an officer in charge undertaking.

WELLAND - Three people were arrested and more than $20,000 in crack cocaine and heroin was seized following a Welland drug bust Tuesday.
Since October, Niagara Regional Police have been investigating a Welland resident selling drugs in St. Catharines.
On Tuesday, police observed a male exit a First Ave. residence and enter a taxi.
Police followed the vehicle for a short distance, conducted a traffic stop and arrested the male, who was found in possession of a large amount of crack cocaine and heroin.
A search warrant was obtained for the First Ave. home and police located more crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana and a large amount of cash. In total, police seized $9,800 worth of heroin, $13,200 of crack cocaine, $910 of marijuana and $11,800 in cash.
Charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of proceeds obtained by crime and two counts of possession of stolen property is 32-year-old Larry Roberts, of Welland. Roberts was held in custody pending a bail hearing Wednesday.
Also charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds obtained by crime is 32-year-old Roy Williams, of St. Catharines, and 27-year-old Amanda McGraw, of Welland.
Both Williams and McGraw were released from custody and will appear in court in February to answer to
