You need to find your imei number for your phone then buy a unlock code.
Please do not PM Me with questions
Post them in the forums so others may learn and benefit from your experience.

I don't think you contact them directly, it's just now "okay" to unlock your phone. As far as I can tell you would still have to get the code on your own.

nope, here is an excerpt directly from the Wireless Code at hxxp://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/info_sht/t14.htm

A service provider that provides a locked device to the customer as part of a contract must

for subsidized devices: unlock the device, or give the customer the means to unlock the device, upon request, at the rate specified by the service provider, no later than 90 calendar days after the contract start date.
for unsubsidized devices: unlock the device, or give the customer the means to unlock the device, at the rate specified by the service provider, upon request.

I stand corrected, however, I caution anyone who uses their provider to obtain the unlock code. I just looked at what RogerS would charge me to provide the code and it would be $50. Can get it from ebay for 24.99.

no it's not, t-mobile uses sim cards, verizon (and sprint) doesn't.

    you need a at&t or t-mobile iphone
