I've been using this box for several years and decided to put the new file on. Now when i go into dish settings and enter my settings I no longer get the sat listing at the top right corner, it says unknown network.

Yes but I forgot the factory file first. I guess that's what happens when you don't have to upgrade often, you forget.
Well first sat lit up as it should, scanned that one and the next one shows unknown network again. Could it be the 121 bin
that bin requires restore before and after...

Thanks, yes I did do that. I also tried going back to 119 and now same thing. Just before this I went down, are we down on all sats? If not maybe a switch went on me again.
Thanks for the help. It was the switch. I had another switch to change it out.
Spoke too soon. Worked for a while, then went down and shows the same thing unknown network but I have good signal?
after powering off and sitting all night it is now working again. I was able to scan and it has been playing for several hours. I do run a laptop cooler so it doesn't get hot. I've been reading about the 8psk modules going out on these. I didn't find any posts that confirmed replacing fixed this problem. I don't think it's a switch after all because an old cnx nano converted box will play fine through the same line and switch.
I'll order one and try removing it and reseating it if it goes down again.
Thanks
After it went down last time I tried reseating the module. It did not bring it back. The next morning it worked again and hasn't shut down and given the unknown error since. I did do one other thing I removed the silicone heat sink and put an aluminum one on with arctic silver. I checked the temp of the heatsink while viewing SD content and it's barely warm. When viewing HD it's very hot to touch, so I added a very small fan over the module and raised up my laptop cooler to get a little more flow. I'm waiting on my new module to arrive.
Got the new module in but the old one hasn't went down or given the error message again.
jus leave it alone then...
