Three arrests in Welland drug bust

WELLAND -Three arrests were made during a Welland drug bust Thursday.
In early January, members of the Niagara Regional Police central region street crime unit began receiving information about a male selling drugs from his residence and various establishments throughout Welland.
On Thursday, police executed a search warrant at a Niagara St. apartment and seized more than $1,160 in cocaine, $625 in prescription pills, $680 in marijuana and $1,860 in cash.
Rocco Munno, 52, Tonya Morrow, 36, and Ronald Bereti, 51, all of Welland, are each charged with five counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Munno was held in custody pending a bail hearing to be held Friday.
Morrow and Bereti were released on a promise to appear with an officer in charge undertaking.
