Ok here goes 3 sats on my roof on is BEV 91 and 82 with dual LNB's on it DN 110 and 119 with dual LNB's the last is bev 91 with single LNB. ok what i would like to know is the best way to wire i have SW44 switch SW21 switch powered and 4x1 disec switch. Need to hook up BEV PVR reciever and SV8000 HD recierver. would like to get 110 119 82 and 91 on SV8000. THANKS Haney:innocent:

Before I start guessing, please clearly list what equipment you have.

Lets start with the dishes and in particular the type of LNBs - are they Legacy or DishPro? It sounds like they are Dual output Legacy/Standard LNBs?

List the switches you have in your arsenal and how many of each.

You have a SV8000HD receiver, are there any other FTA receivers? You have a Bell PVR receiver, what model is it or can you tell us if it is a dual tuner PVR? Is this Bell receiver the only one you have or are there others?

Once you give us the whole picture, a switch layout can be suggested.

according to the info you have given you don't need 2 dishes pointed at 91 so you should turn the single dish to point at 129 ceil 2 to get more hd dish channels.

This is going to be fun, because you have the legacy LNB's you going to need ether 2 of the SW44's (one for 81/92 the other for 110/119) and someway to combine them that the Bell receiver will like.

The Bell receiver can run off just the switch for the 81/92 satellites as it wont work for the 110/119 set, then a 22 KHz switch can be run off port 3 of the Bell switch and port 1 of the Dish switch to give you 82/91 with the 22 KHz off, and 110/119 with the 22 KHz on.

The SW44 can only run 2 of the legacy LNB's at one time, it has a SAT 1a and SAT 1b input for the 82 LNB, and a SAT 2a and SAT 2b input for the 91 LNB (a = one polarity, b = the other polarity) it can then run 4 receivers at once this way, but it gets its power from the first receiver, any other receiver connected to it's ports 2, 3 and 4 will not power the LNB's.

One other way may be to use a 8 input (4 LNB's a and b input) 4 output switch, but it has to be able to work with the bell receiver.

Or you could switch out all 4 of the LNB's to DP duals, (you need 4 of them) then you could use a single DPP44 switch to run everything, the dual tuner Bell receiver with run off ports 1 and 2, the SV receiver will run off ports 3 or 4, the Bell receiver will not work on 110/119 so it will ignore that set. (I think)

Will's a bit more familiar with the Bell equipment then I am, he can fill us in on that angle.

I think he re-stated in his #3 post that he only has the 2 dishes, one for 82/91 and 1 for 110/119.

I hope he doesn't want 129 also as that could get a bit complicated on the switch setups.

The first thing you need to determine is whether or not the SV8000HD supports the SW44 switch. The only way to do this is first to check in the Antenna Setup Area on the STB and see if the SW44 is listed under the "multi Dish Switches or whatever SV call them. The next step would be to connect the SV8000HD to one of the unused ports on the SW44 (NOT port #1) and scan 82 and 91. If all channels are scanned then the STB supports the switch and the OP can simply connect the output of the SW44 to a 4x1 DiseqC switch along with the coaxes from his 110 and 119 LNBs and he will be good to go.
If when scanning 91 and 82 if he only scans half the channels then he can replace the SW44 with a couple of 3x4 switches and some SW21 switches and be able to connect both his Bev and FTA STBs. The price of switches would be much cheaper than replacing his LNBs with DP or DPP units.

Haney The SW44 is a powered switch but I have never heard of a powered SW21

OK, I am not familiar with the SV8000HD, however I think it can't be all that different than the SV360Elite when it comes to Legacy settings, which it supports.

Since I have no picture of the switch set up you need to do, here it goes:

Connect the SW44 switch to 91/82(Bell Dish), output from ports#1 & #2, of the SW44, to feed the Bell9241(remember that the power inserter is placed on port #1 between the receiver and the SW44 switch - the inserter must be placed inside). Output from port#3 of the SW44 and input to port#3 of the 4x1 DiSEqC switch. Input 119 into port#1, 110 into port#2, & 129 into port#4 of the 4x1 DiSEqC switch. Connect the DiSEqC switch's receiver output port to the SV8000.

Remember to ground all your equipment to an earth ground rod. That is Dishes, cables(using 2.5GHz ground blocks), and especially switches to a ground rod using a solid copper ground wire.

Receiver Settings:
Bell 9241 : You will need to run the "check switch" for the receiver to recognize the SW44 switch.
SV8000HD: LNB Type-Standard 11250MHz, LNB Power-ON, 22KHz-OFF (same for all sats)
------------- 119: Port#1
------------- 110: Port#2
------------- 91: Port#3 Legacy Switch: SW44-LNB A
------------- 82: Port#3 Legacy Switch: SW44-LNB B
------------- 129: Port#4 (If you repoint that other dish to 129.0W)
Be sure to connect 91 to LNB-A of the SW44 switch and 82 to LNB-B of the SW44 switch.
