Need a bit more input on your problem.
What did you do to try it and what happened... or didn't happen ?

1-Using the Wiz program... upload the Svlan 4.12FW file.
2-In the Wiz program, click on the "Serial" tab. Change the baud rate (speed) to 115200 and click on the "settings" to save the change.
3-Load the "nochk" Emulator file for your box to the box
4-Reconnect the 110 board as usual and reboot the box.
5-You should see the "Network adapter connected" message and you should have "Network settings" in your menu.
6-Confirm the info or load the server info if needed and try to connect.

If all has gone well, you should run like any other dongle for SV.

If not already doing it, use this version of Wiz:
http://www.satfix.net/showthread.php?119847-WIZ-v3-0-2

Connect directly to your computer lan port and bypass the network for now.

DO NOT change anything with the Wiz program.
All you want to do is confirm the version of the dongle and get it to load the 4.12fw file.
Invalid Parameter is coming because you have something wrong on page 2 (Serial) or 3 (option) of the wiz program.

When you "Search" for the dongle with Wiz... do you get Ip's that populate for you ? (Do ip's show up in the blank spots ?)
If yes, at the bottom of Wiz click the "Direct ip search" and try to ping the ip shown for "Local ip".
If you get a good response, try loading the 4.12 file again and follow the instructions already posted.
If not, let us know. your most likely not in the same subset with your computer.
We can help with that too.

finally got it!! For some reason it was not letting me save any of the changes i was making. Had to reboot wiz110sr after that finally let me save the network settings tried to ping the ip address nothing happend so decided to connect to router with the network settings made and bingo it worked.
Now what is the next step?
I have the HD20-2028_NoChk_2nd_chksum_2nd_try. Should i load that one using the tool also?

Good job.
Your done with Wiz.
That file loads via usb to the box.
Load the file and reboot the box.
You should see the "adapter connected" message and "Network settings" should now be in your box menu.
Enter your info and see if you can connect.

I guess I'm going to have to wait to finish it bacause I dont have a remote control for it. Is there a universal remote that would work with sv 8000 something that I can buy like in a store?

ptm100 you could try the sv-emu as it don't care what server the receiver is setup up for.
you just need a computer running for you connection.
the server your connecting to will be the one the sv-emu uses which is part of the setup.
