I have a chance to buy a sonicview 8000 hd. Could some explain the difference between v1 and v2?
I have never had a sonic view but have been told its one of the better HD receivers. Some ones input
would be helpful. Thanks edlkll

They are still probably the best fta receivers ever made
I have 3 sonicview 8000 hd`s both v1 and v2`s,the only difference between them is one has internal fan and other does not
But i would not be concerned about that cause the fans in these are pretty much useless anyway, they are to small and
usually very noisy,I removed the ones in mine and use a good 2 fan laptop cooler instead
But it is very important to keep them as cool as possible
The most important thing when buying a SV is to make sure it comes with a good working ihub

Best to get the version 2 because those are newer and they come with the fan, even though as Edgar stated it is inadequate but it is better than none, make sure to use a laptop cooler.

Also if it does not come with the 8PSK module you will need that also.
