All cables are good

If it's not detected then it could have gone bad. Suggest you open your box, remove the module, clean the connections, reinstall the module, use a different cable for the jumper cable and then retest. Make sure you turn the back power switch OFF before doing these steps.

Try to re due all the software/files on it to rule out any software issue before playing with hardware.
If that doesn't work and you tried your space module as well, sounds like the power board starting to go..

Thanks to everyone for trying to help.I found the problem and it's not good. I remove the power supply and it's cooked on the bottom where the yellow, black and red cable is attached. I bought the receiver off ebay and it was in pretty tough shape when I got it. Hopefully the guy on ebay who repairs them can do something with it....if not I'll be looking for parts. Thanks again.

Try to find a new one...all but extinct.

Ain't gonna happen. If I could just find a board that's in good shape I could rebuild it. The guy on ebay is a great guy but he's gone untill Sunday....I'll know more then.

If and when you do get it repaired, get some fans installed in the receiver, don't rely on the factory fan it is use less as I've always said in the past... The old Satfix site had some good stickies threads on how to do a fan mod, I had pics and detailed instructions how to do it so did other members with their ways in doing it... I think those stickies all are gone and never got copied to this new site.. a lot of great info and work was lost in all those stickies.. here's a few pics of the fan mod that I do to these receivers.. there are many many ways to go about it,
what ever way you choose do get extra cooling into these receivers.. all the SV8000 I've fan molded I have yet to have a factory power board or module burn out on me.. If that it is not enough proof I don't know what is..
get extra cooling into these receivers is a must..

Well boys I'm real happy. Decided I had nothing to lose so I pulled out the power board and got the soldering gun. Scraped back the film on the spots that looked bad and did a resolder. Guess what...it worked...external module detected. Yeeha. Can you tell I'm happy?

I noticed one cap that I haven't replaced...it's c17 which calls for 470uf/25v. Is it alright to replace it with a 470uf/35v, that's all I have?
