hi, i have a couple questions 1. facing the dish, the lmb sat alignment l-r is 110, 119, 129 correct?
also when aiming the dish which lmb should i use to start with the middle one 119?
i have setp up the dish with good signal on all three sats ...i think.
2. on chl 101 preview i should be able to see video correct? because im not, so is this a dish alignment or a bin issue
also at what point will the epg populate? could this be because of the dish alignment? or bin

go to sat pointer .com set dish direction and skew set up on 119

First question, you are correct on the sat line up.

When aiming a 3 LNB dish on the 110/119/129 setup you use 119 as the alignment and peaking satellite, use TP 12457 to peak for maximum "Q" as it has the Dish 101 channel on it, and that should be an open channel.

I will check to see if the 101 is still open or not.

Once you have 119 peaked and tweaked, you lock down the elevation and AZ adjustments, then you skew the dish to get 110 and 129 in as best as possible.

How ever if you are using the 3 headed LNB from dish (Dish 1000) you could be experiancing some DCcurrent problems, as that LNB will take about 650 mA of DC current to run right, I don't think you SV8K receiver will run that LNB, not without a DC power inserter.

Just checked, CH 101 is working fine, open with pic and sound.
