View Full Version : No Signal on about half my 119 and 110 Channels

Ever since last weeks ECM, I am not getting any signal on a lot of common channels on both my 119 and 110 sats. I've factory reset, reloaded channel lists, scanned sats till I'm blue in the face, with the same results. Normal channels like TRU, DISC, Thriller, HBO-E SHO-E etc. that used to come in fine, all I get is no signal. Any body out there having a similar problem or have any suggestions?

same here as well. I check to see if there is any new TP bin file but nothing yet. I think it affect on the SV 8000 HD. I dont have signal on 400-401 and PPV. I dont watch any other channels beside those so I am not sure there were more channels say No Signal

No idea what your problem could be, maybe port you are on. I'm on 16110 and getting all of those you mentioned on SD and HD where available.
Also getting 400( SD and HD ) and 401 as well as SD PPV such as 526,529 and 532. Haven't check all of them. There are some channels missing but looks like they slowly coming back.

You may need to check if you LNB settings are correct for your setup.

Signal reading is receiver to the lnb. Quality reading if from the lnb to the Sat.
If your getting no signal to the lnb, its some thing to do on your end.. settings or bad lnb or some thing..
I'm running two SV8000, and have 6 family and friends with SV8000's that I take care of, have not seen the missing signal your seing on 110,119. Double check your settings, connections and hard ware.

I just fixed a friends Bell system.. he was missing allot of channels with no signal all of a sudden.. narrowed it down all his even transponders has no signal... here is the tread I posted a few pics of the problem to resolve his no signal issue..

did antone find a fix for jagged > I am having the same problem, with my sv8000 . Only getting a few channels , no ppv . so I hooked upp my nanosat p and have all the channels including ppv . Have checkked all my settings everything seems to be right .

It's not just even transponders with mine. I checked all connections and hardware, I think the ecm has somehow targeted my receiver. Here is a list of transponders for the 300 channels and whether they have a signal or not. If someone could give me their settings for the transponders that don't get a signal, I can compare it to see if mine are different, then edit them and see if that will change anything.
12355 - No Signal
12297 - No Signal
12370 - Signal
12486 - Signal
12399 - No Signal
12326 - No Signal
12248 - Signal
12516 - Signal
12457 - Signal
12428 - Signal
12443 - No Signal
12414 - No Signal

you guys are absolutely right, all of a sudden I lost signal on some but have signal on other one. Last week was ok on everything so what could be possible wrong, everything works fine at home with my Jynxbox getting golf and tennis both in SD and HD but when brought to my work and test on my Jynxbox and DONT get signal on some channels but have signal on other TP. What are the solution since Everyone SV 8000 works fine. I will bring my SV 8000 home tonight and test if it works at home then I have no clue what went wrong. Any suggestion
I dont think it is LNB issue because I do have some channels are working and other channels do not have signals.

PS I have strong signal here so I dont see that my coaxial cable are bad just some of the TP doesnot have signal.

dont think it is lnb either, hooked up my nanosat p and working great . i havent checked in the last hour but will do so now .

ok just checked my nanosat p and all channels are working , 110 and 119 on server 16110 . So it cant be lnb

I finally fixed it. I ended up reloading the HD 20-2028, then the channel clean, then the SVK 112712, then I did a yellow button scan of 119 saved that, did a yellow button scan of 110 saved that and voila! All channels are back. Had to be something to do with Thursdays ECM targeting some receivers.

Now we have new crap happening, Network channels are moving from the 200's to the 900's. I guess since the 900's don't even exist, that will mean another sat scan. Hopefully this will be for the Networks in HD! What sat will they be on?

Guys... something else is going on....
"No signal" is absolutely a local issue with your hardware or software.
There are a hundred SV 8K users that visit here daily and there is not enough with the issue to claim an "Ecm" did it.Especially since no other makers are having the issue and Ecm's are not box specific.
Jagged has found his issue is a transponder file problem. Jagged, confirm your set to "Enable Sid" in the menu.I've not seen any moves to the 900's as of yet.I suspect he continues to have some issues with something in his transponder settings.
Did the Ecm possibly corrupt your transponder settings ? Possibly.....
1203 loaded the last transponder file I found and he too worked out most of his issues except the PPV's I believe.
I think I would start by loading the system clean file a couple or more times, followed by the factory bin.
I would then load the HD2028 file followed by the latest transponder file.
I would then rescan my sats and see what I get.
Does any of that make any since ???

\makes sence to me I will do that tomorrow and see what happens . Only thing is after my last skyclean my sv wont see any flash drives I know they work because I tried them on my nanosat .

Format a usb stick and put the SV8000 factory file on it and no other files on the stick.
With the receiver off put the usb stick in. Hold the power button and the menue button I think they are at the same time while flipping the back power swtich, continue holding for a bit and the receiver will force boot from the usb stick and load the factory file..
You can load other files this way also if it still does not work. If the usb port still does not work, try connecting the receiver to your computer with the serial cable and run the loader progam to load files to the receiver from your computer..

Force load the factory bin.
Load the factory bin to your usb stick.
Insert the stick and shut the box off from the rear switch.
While holding the "ok" ("Menu" button for 360E and 8k) button in on the box, restart from the rear switch.Hold the "ok" ("Menu" button for 360E and 8k) button for at least 5 seconds when you boot from the rear.
This will put the box in USB mode and you can use the buttons on the box to navigate and force load the file.For the 360's, when your in usb mode,"USBL" will be displayed on the box.
Restart as normal and load the current file for your box .
On the 360's, if your on component video you'll need to downgrade to standard video (yellow output) to see the Usb mode screen.

Sorry, I saw "Thumb drive is ok" in another post and thought you had it fixed.I understand now what you were saying.
Hopefully a force load of the factory bin will get you back to where you need to be.

Ok got the flash drive working again , did a system clean , not skyclean lol and did a factory reset . Loaded factory file ,then hd2028,then
sv8k112712. took out my switch and scanned each satseparatelyy . got 404 channels on 119 and 705 on 110 I get all the channels except ppv , still can not get then . it shows I have goodqualityy but they still wont come in

If you go to channels 241 - 251 in the guide, they tell you they are moving to 907 - 916. I'm not making this up. I always have SID enabled. Thanx for your help.

Just wipe your boxes out completely to get rid of the gom...factory, sysclean, fresh bin, scan and make sure your auto tp is on and all your configurations are RIGHT. don't load someone elses stuff. when you scan, you are current, but changes and moves will continue.

Explain "Won't come in" and which channels are you talking ? Are you getting the scrambled message ?
Hd 502-525 or Sd starting at 526 ?
Do you know for sure your provider has them open and viewable ??

Confirm transponder 12311 on the 119 is set for Hd settings- SR-21500 and Fec 2/3 and rescan that transponder only.You should get your HD to show.

what i mean is the channel is there , the programing is there but get scrambled message .
i will try again from scratch . wont be till tomorrow though . by the way my nanoesat is working great , i am having no trouble picking up ppv with it

OK i started from scratch . did a syclean ,factory reset, loaded the factory file dated 21\11\09 then loaded hd 20 2028 ,plugged in my ihub , checked all my nfps # made sure auto tp and all that is on . Then set my settings for 110 only did a yellow button scan , took a long time but it did scan . checked to see if any channels work and yes they do but still not the ppv i just get black screen no message at all . the channel is there and the info is in the guide just wont come in .

Sure sounds like it's all working if they were open.
With good S&Q and the Scrambled message... what else could it be ? Hummm.....
You did reconfirm the transponder setting as suggested above ? Right ?

I have noted that too "1203". Sometimes the NSOS does not appear and I simple get a black screen. This usually happens if I have previously had service on that channel and for some reason the channel is down on the server and I am connected to the server. If I am not connected to the server then most always get NSOS.

How about the same transponder having 2 different specifications for a few channels all of a sudden? You can still view the channels that are at the original specs, but for some reason the same transponder gives you different specs and no signal for the rest of the channels........it's hard to explain.

You say you have done factory reset and loaded all the new files. Are those files the same ones that you have always used on your memory stick? Have read that these files can become corrupted and it certainly sounds like you have a software issue. Try re-downloading the files from this site and re-doing the process using those files.

I just freshly downloaded the files. I tried to edit the transponder specs back to the original, but the edit wouldn't work. I deleted that transponder, then added it again with the correct values, now everything works fine again.

Here what I found out about my SV 8000 HD. I have the same issue like you all. Every thing was working well but what happened last week I have some issue with no signal and quality on some TP meaning I can watch some channels like Tennis HD on 9442 but not the Golf HD and they both on Ciel 129, also on the 110 too some TP get signal and some dont even on Porn there are no signal so I took it home and took out my Jynx and put in the SV 8000 and it works flawless . I get Porn PPV and even GOLF HD and Tennis HD,so I bring my Jynxbox to my work place and put in the Jynxbox and get same issue like no signal on some TP but other are fine, unless my dish get turn a little off. That just my guess for now since this is winter and 15 F here so I dont think its a good idea to go on the roof and adjust the dish.
So if any one have this issue it could be the dish are off due to the windy weather or some think blocking the signal if you live in a nice warmth area check your dish.
Let us all know if that the case

nothing blocking the dish as I said I can hook up my nanosat and get all the channels . but what I did notice is that on the ppv the first movie was day of the fallcon and on my nanosat the firsy=t movie is panormal , havent figgered that out yet

so if the dish is not blocking or misalignment. Check the coaxial cable if it bad cuz I have seen that before becauze of the weather

I spoke too soon. It works for a while, now get the same problem again. Signal strength does not change, but Quality is zero. Maybe my TP list is not right.

The TP 12253 of Echo Star 10,11 of mine is showing wrong: TP6, 12253, 21500 Vertical 2/3 Turbo-8. According to Lyngsat it should be 12253 R TP3 DVB-S SR 20000 FEC 7/8

I can't edit it, not sure why, it will not save.

The channels at this TP are adult channels. Not sure how many other TPs are wrong. I have Auto TP update On, but that does not change at all.

ok got all my channels working , kinda, was not able to get ppv . Now I have them but not in hd , but there is a few channels in the 9000 range that are and i am getting them in 1080p , this cant be normal ,can it .

I think blind scan will solve the problem. I got it before. Sometime they change TPs

Blind scan is for true fta and not advised for the casual user.
