Hi,

I know that there are some HD channels on 119. Ex: 105 USA, 114 E!, 122 SYFY.

However, when I scan with my SV8000, I only get the SD channel versions of those channels by default.

Is there a special way to scan with the SV8000 to get the HD channel versions?

Thanks in advance.

There are more than that on 119...all you need to do is scan and have auto tp turned on...that's how i stay updated.

There is no auto tp option on the sv8000

You need to look again
Its under User options
Have been using it for years
Why do you suppose ramrod would mention it if it wasn't there?

OK, go to Lyngsat, select 119W (Echo14) then click on the little "P" in one of the transponder listings, this will give you the packages available on 119, the HD packages (channels) are in green, however only look at the CONUS transponders as the others are all spot beams and you won't be able to view them.

Here is a link to this, if you can't find what I'm talking about.

As you can see TP12311 is the only HD transponder that is a CONUS beam, with about 12 HD channels on it.

there are quite a few HDs on 119 and 110 but they are for the puerto rico spot beam. so if you are in that spot and your server supports puerto rico HDs then you will get them.. basically from channel 4900 and up.
